This online gallery would not have been created without the assistance and feedback of countless individuals. These include but are not limited to my sister Irena Magdenko for photographing much of the work included. Thanks goes to Mykola Chaban, journalist 
and to Zhenya Shevchenko for their documenting, research and publicizing my fathers life in Ukraine, organizing tours, radio and tv features, to Roma Ihnatowycz for copyediting, Kathryn Naylor for helping organize the online galleries, Fedor Pisarevskiy for taking me on my first trip to Poltava in 2012 and finding the last Magdenko relative there as well as the house on 46 Engels. There are countless others to thank who have enjoyed his work for their kind words and encouragement, inviting me into their houses to photograph and document work over the years.
